Participants who require a Schengen VISA to attend IJCB 2023 in Slovenia are encouraged to start their VISA application as early as possible (at least two months before arrival). Information on the VISA application process and associated details are available from the website of the Government of Slovenia but also other portals, such as the Schengen VISA info.
Participants requiring a VISA need to request a letter of invitation, which will be issued by the Organizing Committee. Payment of the IJCB 2023 registration fee should be settled before the visa application procedure starts. Please note that the invitation letter facilitates visa arrangements only, and does not imply provision of any financial or other support. Typically, a Type C VISA would be required for conference attendance.
All VISA applicants require invitations letters with a seal from an administrative unit in Slovenia. Participants who plan to apply for the Schengen VISA at a Slovenian embassy can typically present an E-mailed copy of the invitation letter, whereas participants that plan to apply at one of Slovenia’s representations abroad need the original invitation letter mailed via DHL (or similar services). It is, therefore, important to clearly state in the below invitation-letter-form, where participants plan to apply and whether they require the physical original.
Please note that it takes 7-10 days to organize the notarized invitation letters (before shipping if that is needed), so send your request at the earliest convenience. Short-term requests cannot be accommodated.
To obtain the invitation letter participants need to:
- Register for the conference and submit the registration confirmation to the Conference Secretariat
- Fill out the Invitation Letter Form and submit it in DOC or DOCX format to the Conference Secretariat
